Hi,

I'm wanting to replace an Exchange Server installation with a Linux
alternative. It all looks to be quite easy other than the global
address book. (public folders etc can be done quite nicely with IMAP)

I've had a quick look at OpenLDAP and got myself totally confused. That
was some months ago. Has anyone had any experience with Directory
servers and how I could use these as a global address book. Can this
address book be downloaded for offline PC's? It looks like the clients
will want to use Outlook, but maybe they'll have to use Outlook Express
or Netscape Mail.

Any information appreciated.
