Hi All,

I have a strange one here.

I have used a copy of RedHat 6 to install on a machine that loads and works
fine (from what I can tell, anyhow). I then removed the network card out of
this machine, my trusty old ISA Novel/Anthem 2000 compatible card, and put
it in another machine (that previously had this card in it and running in
RedHat 5.2. The system fails to detect this card upon installation.

It also fails to detect a RealTek 8139-based PCI card as well. They fail if
both in the machine upon install, or if they are each the only one in the
machine.

This is weird - these cards both work fine in a Windoze 98 box, so the cards
are fine.

The other question I have - how do I successfully add a NIC to a working
Linux box? I cannot see how to select the card type in the X network config
tool, nor can I see where to add it manually (I'd prefer to do it manually
than in X - I'll learn more).

Any and all help appreciated,

Regards,
Hilton Travis
