Does anyone have experience using "Setserial" in Redhat 6 to force linux to
automatically set /dev/ttyS2 to irq 5 and /dev/ttyS3 to irq 7 on boot ??
I have tried following suggestions in "Serial HOWTO" and "Modem HOWTO"
but it appears that "/etc/rc.d/rc.local & /etc/rc.d/rc.serial don't run at
boot in
RH6, or if they do its sometime after serial ports have already opened.
The irq's for hardware are set correctly, and "setserial /dev/ttySx irq z"
seems
to work as far as changing irq's manually is concerned, only problem is
having
to use it manually every boot.
