Hi All,

Once again, thanks for your input on this problem.

I tried another install onto the IBM DHEA-38451 (8.45GB) EIDE hard drive
this morning (well, a few actually) and finally got RedHat to install LILO
properly, and the system to boot successfully. This is what I found worked
(some through portions of mail received through this mailing list).

IBM DHEA-38451  geometry is 1027/255/63 (C/H/S)
IBM 14.1GB EIDE geometry is 1757/255/63
hda1=  7MB=/boot
hda5=700MB=/usr
hda6=125MB=swap
hda7=101MB=/home
hda8=101MB=/
Install LILO with the "Linear" option

The above config works fine on a fresh hard drive, and I assume that Win98
can be installed after this on a primary FAT partition. I have yet to do
this though. I still need to confirm this will work on my 14GB drive, but
this is a healthy start, and gives me some hope that I will be able to
achieve what I am aiming for.

Regards,
Hilton Travis
