I'm not sure I know what you mean when you say the repository has been
unlocked, care to elaborate?

If you're talking about the files in the CVSROOT directory, as opposed
to your checked-out copy of the files, then they're locked with RCS; I
am led to believe that a sufficiently tricky wizzard[1] should be able
to get up close and personal with them and relock them, or whatever ve
wants to do. I've never seen this done and wouldn't want to guess. I
suppose you *could* set a new $CVSROOT, cvs init, and check some files
in and out for a while to get a feel for it, and UTSL.

Cyclic software *used* to offer support contracts for CVS, but stopped
accepting new ones just a week or two ago.

jason, who *finally* understands CVS branches and tags.

[1] : Wow. Two obscure references for the price of one.
