Did you run sndconfig? Do you have the isapnptools installed (I'm not
sure if sndconfig needs this when it probes for your pci card....)
I remember having some trouble with the sound when using sndconfig, but
everything has worked perfectly since I recompiled the kernel with the
ensoniq 1370 option as 'yes'.
However, if you read the helps in the config part of the compilation
process, it says that PCI 64's can be either ensoniq 1370's or ensoniq
1371's - if one doesn't work the other one will. (Well, it did for me).
Send me a private email if you want help with compiling the kernel (not
trying to insult your intelligence, just trying to be of assistance 8)
).
