[H-GEN] ppp script help!!

The nature of the symptoms suggests that the local and remote
deamons are not communicating, causing a timeout in the connection
(you will probably find lines in /var/log/messages to provide more
info). It sounds to me as if the remote ppp deamon is never started.

Assuming that you are using a chat-script to log in to the annex,
be sure that the "ppp" command is executed before the chatscript
ends. I suggest posting the log messsages that pppd creates if you
can't solve it easily.

The end of the script should look something like this:

There are other ways to log in which make the chatscript even simpler,
and other possible problems.  Maybe we should have (another?) talk on
this subject.


If you still think your setup is ok, it would be a good idea to post
the log messages that pppd generates in /var/log/messages  (is there
a /var/log/pppd?).
