Hi ppl,
Just hadda tell you about this great "feature" i discovered with win95 this morning.
A friend of the boss brought his computer in for me to have a look at cause it doesn't boot up. (its a windows machine btw) So i booted prompting for evrything and said no many times. Eventualy it starts running scandisk as windows is wanten to do and does a surface scan. Within the first 200sectors there are 38 sector errors. Not having time to press the enter key a thousand times and being that a "continue without disturbing me" button is non-existant i descovered a new "feature" of windows95. If you prop a screw driver up so that it presses down the enter key for you, it saves time. This feature made for a good laught though i cannot for the life of me work out why there is not a command argument to "not interfere". The old scandisk in dos 6 had an option like /nostop or some thing....though the "new" version seems to have gone backwards.
all i can say is thank god for fsck and mount.
Luke
