Yes well :<) .... its taken me weeks of aggro just get this far ..... it
was
quite an achievement to figure out about copying something from one folder
to another let alone install MORE funny applications ....and then there is
all
that weird "mount" stuff and *.tar.gz and all the other other arcane
commands
to worry about, and it still won't let me copy/paste like in more civilized
o/s's,
make nice :<) WAV / MIDI sounds like in Win whatever, ..... seems
pleasantly
stable compared with NT4 though. If I feel brave enough on the weekend I
might just "avagoyamug" and try to get that x-isp installed though ....
I guess RedHat has gone a fair way toward making what must be the
most user hostile o/s on the planet kicked into something vaguely resembling
what regular (read Microsoft operators) can handle and at least there seems
to be some sort of assistance around the traps for newbies ..... which is
more
than can be said of products produced by Comrade Gates and his merry band
