There is often lots of interesting stuff mentioned on the AUCRYPTO mailing
list. (aucrypto-request at suburbia.net subscribe). This list is mostly
professionals, many from groups like the various police forces.

>From an export point of view I found Peter Gutmann's experiences to be
interesting and amusing. Peter is from NZ, but you'll see that they suffer
the same problems we do, especially since it seems the GCSB are answerable
to our own DSD, who in turn seem to be answerable to the NSA. (I love
living in America, don't you?)

A lot of Peter's observations on both sides of the Tasman are given in:
http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/policy/
Mostly it talks about NZ, but it's quite relevant to us, especially since a
lot of it involved the DSD. (Some of it is so stupid it's funny too - like
when he tried to get a license to export the Python Encryption Library back
to it's Dutch authors, and was denied!)

Hope this helps,
Paul
