Not so, I'm afraid. While it might well respond to AT commands, the
actual data pump itself is implemented in Windows as a vxd file, which
loads the proprietry modem code. Hence, you're out of luck with a HCF
modem.

However, Hell has frozen over - there is now a Lucent LT winmodem binary
module available for Linux. Which doesn't help you, of course.
