example: to run xeyes from machine 1 and have it display on machine 2
I would use the command "xeyes -display machine2:0.0".
the machine2 bit could be the ip or the name that resolves/is in the hosts
file. however you need to have permision to display there, that is normally
given via typeing  "xhost +machine1" in an xterm on machine2 agian the
machine1 must resolve.
