In the early days Red Hat would not support KDE and Mandrake was Red Hat with
KDE but in the latest distribution Red Hat now does support KDE. There is
bugger all difference between them now. A full Red Hat 6 install is 1118 Mb
from memory and a full Mandrake is 1145 Mb. Mandrake uses the underlying Red
Hat system. One significant difference (maybe) is that Mandrake is built on the
2.2.9 kernel and RH 6 uses the 2.2.5 kernel...but if you are a keen humbugger
you probably rebuild the kernel as soon as you gert it anyway. I have not
checked all the files in detail but I suspect that differences are largely
cosmetic.
