[H-GEN] dazed and confused

Ok, firstly thanks to all those who replied to my first message.

Since then I have downloaded the latest rpm packages of
XFree86 and XFree-SVGA and run XF86config but noticed 
when I looked at the config file nothing had been changed,
so I used Xconfigurator and got the following message:
	segmentation fail (core dumped)
so obviously I have done something wrong to the system.

Anybody have experience with this or would it just be 
easier to start to restart from scratch and redownload the 
updates?
