Hey ppl,
Thanks to all who helped out yesterday. Anyways here is the final commands
used under redhat 5.2 running kernel 2.2.5 that work. Thought i would post
them in case anyone wanted to setup the same cause it saves time in setting
up machines....is browser independant....and most of all saveson data costs
for those of you with permanent connections/isp's

echo "Starting IP Forwarding....."
/sbin/ipfwadm -F -m -a accept -S 192.168.0.0/24
echo "Starting Squid Proxy..."
/usr/local/squid/bin/squid &
echo "Linking IP Forwarding to Squid for Automatic Proxy Setup...."
/sbin/ipfwadm -I -a accept -P tcp -S 192.168.0.0/24 -D 0/0 80 -r 3128
echo "Link made. Automatic Proxy started."

This works perfectly.

(for those of you who dont remember this is to setup an automatic proxy
server....ie. so that browsers dont need proxy settings put in them)
