It wasn't just you.  Some #$%@#$% spammer got hold of a
first-generation NMR (MRI for those afraid of Ns) machine (the BFMI
ones with the 12-tesla superconducting coil) put it in the back of an
old wooden beer-barrel wagon, hooked it up to a VCR and started towing
it through the 'burbs late at night.  "Pet Paradise" could hardly keep
up with demand.
