I've often found the US to be more expensive for computer gear then here
in OZ, so if it were me I'd avoid the hassle of trying to deal with a US
Company and support the local bloke.

again this is just my option, but I like the compaq's or even samsung
machines.

If you do opt to buy in the US forget warranty, even if you do get one,
you won't get one if you follow my drift.
