I was running a dual machine at one stage.  It was right at the start
of the experimental SMP code so the ffirst few kernals were quite
buggy.  Eventually it stabalised and I was getting uptimes of several
weeks (and then being brought down, not crashing).  That was using a
1.1.something kernal.  Don't remember the something off hand I'm afraid.
