You never get fired by recommending Micro$oft?

Think again...

Cheers,

Subject: [SAGE-AU] Requested URL. NT causes banking crisis

At SAGE Vic last night, someone was asking for a URL about the CBA
manager that was fired for recommending NT. I first read about it in
ComputerWorld some weeks ago but a friend just sent me a URL.

NT causes banking crisis

Certain major banks across the world are counting the cost of an ill-judged
migration to Microsoft's Windows NT. The two banks, the Commonwealth Bank of
Australia and the National Westminster Bank (NatWest) in the UK planned to move to NT for strategic systems projects.

I believe ww.idg.net will have some articles on this as well. Also
the Microsoft & Hotmail story.
