Possible to upgrade from RH 4.2 - 5.1

Hi,

Ok, for the past few years ive used slackware, now i want to use redhat, i
have installed RH 4.2 because its the only copy of RH i have, so i was
wondering is it possible to upgrade it to 5.1 or would i have to do a
complete fresh install?
