The ext2 FS has had provision for undelete from the start, and I believe
Remy Card,the ext2 designer/developer has done some work on it.  Imagine
the ext2 FS having big spaces init marked "This realestate for future
undelete facility" :)

Yep, packages are available which will make this pretty seamless.

Yep, also see the recent debugfs comments in another thread,as that can be
your last line of defence in file recovery :)
