I believe O'Reilly <bows eastwards> have a book on serving the web
using Apache. If you're new to the whole concept of web serving it
might be a good start.

Or you could read it off egg.microsoft.com, which is running Apache
and at least used to still have the manual installed. (ref deadbeef
a couple of months ago.) And they hacked Apache to hide its
server name, which demonstrates very little class.
Intelligent questions to this list will be quite welcome. (I think.)
