I agree it's difficult to accidentally probe a machine, but probing a
domain might not be that hard - if a tool supports scanning the domain
automatically, and you were only intending to scan your machine to
check it for security, but make a mistake, ..?
Incompetence is no defense in the eyes of the law? :)
