Which I just organised. I've been away all day moving my dads belongings
into his new house.
I've been thinking about what I want in a game, and I'll have a proposal for
everyone to read in the next day or so. I'm in for something like Starcraft,
Dark Reign or Total Annhilation. Just a bit different.
At this stage, I'm very open to a lot of ideas, thoughts on anything that you
care to think of. Topics I think of interest at this early stage are what type
of game we want to do. Anything that tickles your fancy, really. Anymore more
in depth like playing midi's or mp3's, or using OpenGL or XFreeDGA is possibly
a bit pointless. Kinda like trying to decide on a cars engine if you don't
know what the car is to be designed for.
aj, has so very kindly setup a list on azure, aura-dev at azure.humbug.org.au.
I've called the project "Aura" for the time being, as it feels slightly fuzzy
and sounds sorta cool (LART me later ;).
The usual majordomo stuff, "subscribe aura-dev <email address>" in the body to
majordomo at azure.humbug.org.au. As I really have to get moving, there is no
current list intro and the list isn't configured beyond the obvious.
The list is open to all, and exists for the discussion about the possible
creation of games, mainly of a graphical nature (sorry Jason :) for a unix based OS.
As I've got to disappear once more to the sunshine coast, I'll be back late
tomorrow night. So till then, ciao.
