Hi guys,

>From seeing this kind of thing before, first on the C-64 and then on 286's,
the biggest problem we always ran into was good graphics, then good music,
and then good sound effects.

>From reading all the messages this morning, I see that we possibly have
volunteer artists and muzo's. This would give us a tremendous start.

Some things to consider:

. Even with the advent of OpenGL, iso [1] click-em-up's are easier to code.
. Platform games are about as easy as it gets, but they've been DTD [2]
. Midi sounds poxy on OPL3... you really need a GUS for this to work.
. MOD's [XM,ST3...] use very little processor to very good effect
. MOD's use very little space for the effect.
. If you really want DumbTerm support, I have only one word for you:
                  AALIB
. GGI is looking _very_ interesting now: [3]
. PenguinPlay still seems to be a way off. [4]

I suggest we start with a relatively simple game first then extend it or
make a new one. This would basically mean another Warcraft/Starcraft?

I would really like comment on this.
