THe setups will look pretty much the same to the end user really.

Ditto really.  The end user can see whatever sort of X environment he
likes, and Applix will run under emulation (FreeBSd and NetBSD) afaik.

Fvwm95 looks like win95, but Fvwm (and Fvwm2) look like motif (they look
much cooler anyway).
