Yes.
For example, mail to me aj at it.uq.edu.au goes to everest.it.uq.edu.au and
is also forwarded to my home account so I'm guaranteed to get it.
On everest, I thus have a .forward which contains something like:
aj, aj at azure.humbug.org.au
(all one one line, with no spaces at the end or the start)
