[H-GEN] Make, and lesstif.

Does anyone know how to get LessTif compiled?  I'm trying to
install it on toaster, with the following results:

toaster# make -n
...
Making all in Xm
make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/local/src/lesstif-0.82/lib/Xm'
Makefile:155: *** missing separator.  Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/lesstif-0.82/lib/Xm'
...
toaster#

and the relevant lines of the Makefile are:

SRCDIR_SRCS=${SRCS:%.c=$(srcdir)/%.c}
OBJS= ${SRCS:%.c=%.o}
SH_OBJS= ${SRCS:%.c=shared/%.o}

all::

.for OBJ in ${OBJS}
${OBJ}: ${OBJ:%.o=$(srcdir)/%.c}
        ${CC} ${CFLAGS} -c ${OBJ:%.o=$(srcdir)/%.c} 
.endfor

which I'm assuming use some form of GNU make[1] extension.  Can
anyone provide me with some clues here?  Anyone got the make book
from ora?

[1] :  and yes, I have installed GNU make. Fscking bastards no longer
       install the manpage, fer crissakes.  Grrrr....
