Hello everybody - how are yas?
It just occured to me that I haven't recompiled the kernel for
mulitprocessor support. I was told that in the /usr/src/linux directory,
in the Makefile file is the option. Sure enough, it is. There is also a
disclaimer that SMP is experimental. Fair enough. The contents are such:
# SMP = 1
#
# SMP profiling options
# SMP_PROF = 1
I assume that I just remove the hashes in front of the 1st & 4th line, but
what do the options mean?
Also, I can't ftp through my Linux box to student.uq (from a 95 client), I
get a 500 Illegal PORT Command, and a 425 Can't build data connection:
Connection refused. whenever I try and get a directory listing or GET a
file. I'm using ipfwadm, is there a module that I have to tell ipfwadm to
use to allow this ftp port request? (got something to do with the high &
low ports that ftp uses?)
