i've been trying to login to my isp using pap/linux, but failing to
connect.

can i ask where the wonkiness is suspected to be? my /var/log/messages
seems to indicate authentication problems, but the connect script seems
to be operational.

not that it matters that much right now, 'cos i fried me fsckin' monitor
playin' silly buggers wi' X.
