[H-GEN] Sparc

To those interested, we managed to get RH4.2 installed and working quite
happily. I had to temporarily stick 12M in the machines to do it (good
thing I had more than one of em) and installed using an external SCSI hard
drive with the RH stuff on it. The install I did (no X crap) only uses
about 40M of the hard disk, so there's plenty of room for other bits and
pieces still.

Even plugged in an old Macintosh modem we had lying around and the damn
thing WORKED !!!! ( I was really amazed at that one).

Basically, these things seem to be pretty good and I am VERY happy with my
purchase. Will be trying to get PPP going on it tomorrow and sart
configuring myself a gateway. Oh, BTW, RH 4.2 for Sparc has masquerading
compiled into it in the distribution so I haven't even needed to do a
kernel compile yet. If you are going to do this, I think there are a few
broken links in the source tree that need to be fixed, and also X won't run
"out of the box" for the same reason.

If anyone is having trouble or needs the install files, I am considering
coming along on Saturday. What is the best time to show up for this kinda
thing ?

Regards
MICHAEL Anthon
