[H-GEN] Tag RAM and lots of memory

Not often I can enlighten you Martin but I just think I have the answer.

It's all in the chipset. The Intel TX chipset only supports caching of
64 Mb of memory but it does support UDMA, SDRAM, high speed HDD's etc.
If you use more than 64 Mb of RAM it actually runs slower.

On the other hand, the old HX chipset supports 512 Mb caching but not
SDRAM, etc. So the Intel VX TX and HX chipsets involve compromise.

The new Via (AMD 640) chipsets cover everything and, from all reports
are the fastest chipset available for normal Pentium class machines.
However, since I am sure you will be using Pentium Pro/II gear the LX
chipset will be your choice. <WINK>
