you'd hope so, but to be sure:
# locate fame
# locate fortune
or, if it's a poorly configured system,
# find / -name fame
# find / -name fortune
and sit back and thumb-twiddle.

I'd tend to agree with you, making it a fault of less, not man..

someone has found fame and .. err.. more fame?

but, gee, what's wrong with having it at the beginning? that way, I can
run all my suid shell scripts without it searching the entire path. :)

Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/hda5              81913   28239    49444     36%   /
/dev/hda6             339571  146499   175535     45%   /home
/dev/hda8             101471   24643    71588     26%   /tmp
/dev/hda7             495714  437113    33000     93%   /usr

that's for a fairly typical RedHat 4.2 install - I forget what takes up
the most space on /, and don't feel like running du.. but I am certainly
regretting giving it that whopping 80mb.. argh, what's filling up /tmp??
<runs off>
