[H-GEN] Authentication problems

Hi,

I have been setting up .htaccess files on my FreeBSD Web server to restrict
access to certain directories and have found that Netscape Navigator will
correctly authenticate users (using a .htaccess file entry) and MSIE wont,
it keeps asking the user to authenticate?

Try:   http://www.synaptic.com.au/java/

And tell me what you get with each Browser.
The account name is "test" and the password is "test"
