[H-GEN] Firewall Setup.

Will there be someone who could help me set up a fairly secure firewall
at next
weekend's meeting?
I have a Machine with 2 Network cards and linux installed, it can talk
to both
networks just fine but I can't seem to get it to route packets or to do
IP masquerade.
I also am not sure how to tell if it is as secure as it should be.
Basically one 
network connection goes to the Internet, and one goes to a small
network.
The small network needs to see outside as if every machine was connected
to the
net, as transparent as possible, the internet should see NOTHING of the
small
network. There is no need for any inbound connects to the small network,
it should
be completely un-contactable from outside.
Can this be done easily, and will it be secure?

P.S If anyone needs a lift to the meeting from the southside, I'm
traveling from
near the Hyperdome and have a spare seat or two.
