[H-GEN] newbie query

Hi there,

I am thinking of switching from win95 to Linux (RedHat?). At the moment I
only have one 500Mb HDD, so partitioning it is kinda silly. I was wondering
wether someone could inform me on the GUI and user-friendlyness of Linux. I
have the old folks sharing this computer and they would still need to
'word-process' and check emails..

I would need (want?) to be able to use adobe photoshop [or something along
the lines of..] and I would like to use Netscape etc... basically use the
Internet as I do now.

I would appreciate it if someone could tell how long it would take me to
get Linux up and running to a workable condition for my parents, and for me
to start buggering around in...
