[H-GEN] Seeking old/cheap notebook

I'm going overseas shortly and would like to
make notes, diary entries, etc, on a
notebook-sized computer.

Cost is very much an issue; since I won't
be doing anything more than using DOS's
EDIT.COM to make textual files, I could
quite happily work from a floppy-disk only
system! Or any of the notebook-sized
286 640k 40Mb machines (Compaq used
to have a nice notebook) of eight years or so
ago.

If anyone has an old notebook-sized
laptop to sell, or advice on where I might pick
one up, I'd appreciate mail to brosser at gil.com.au.
There don't seem to be many laptops at
Cash Converters or Pawnbrokers ("computers
age so fast it's not worth our while"). But the
real old stuff must be going somewhere!

Thanks,

Brad Rosser
