Hmm. Having installed RH 5 linux on another machine, I've downloaded the
latest f00f-proof kernel and kernel source, only to find that it refuses
to install with failed dependancies that make little sense to me. When I
do an rpm -Uvh of the blasted thing, it tells me that the kernel isn't
installed (!) and it needs it to install all sorts of stuff I haven't
asked for (though they're in the same directory). I'm not using wildcards.

Poop.
