[H-GEN] I hate PPP

OK,
I give up.  I think I am going to go and have a stiff Bundy, then go and 
beat my wife for a while.

My PPP is dead.  It has been dead for about a week since I got home from 2 
weeks holidays.  It worked when I went away.  I think it's all my ISPs 
fault, but then winbloze still seems to connect and work quite happily, so 
it's probably something they changed at their end that I just need to 
reconfigure my end to work with.

Anyway, following is a snippet from /var/log/messages (I had debug on in 
pppd and chat).  A lot of it is probably irrelevant, but who knows.  It's 
interesting to note that I seem to be dropping some charaters in the 
welcome messages.  Not really sure why this is or if it woulld have any 
effect since it seems to establish the ppp link OK.

The problem is that once it is established, I cannot connect to anything 
outside of my LAN.  Pinging 203.20.132.2 doesn't work, DNS lookups don't 
work, telnet, ftp etc etc are all equally dead.  There IS a default route  
 added by pppd to 203.20.132.2.  All function operate correctly on the LAN 
side of things.

I am currently running kernel 2.0.32 (2.0.30 didn't work either) and pppd 
2.2.0 and have ip masq set up (it WAS working).

I was actually able to get a couple of unrelible connection from my other 
machine out via ip masq during the testing of this, but even that seems to 
have stopped working now.

I am stumped.  If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the input. 
 Also, I just spent 2 fruitless hours looking for a patch or updated 
binaries for later versions of pppd.  If anyone can point me to those as 
well I would be eternally gratefull
