[H-ANNOUNCE] Exec Meeting - 11th October 2008

Hello folks,

We're holding an exec meeting - the first one of the new exec!

When: 1pm, 11th October
Where: QUT Kelvin Grove S201 - S block.
Contact: James Iseppi, 0402 297 622 for access.

The executive encourages members to come along to keep us honest.
The following is a draft agenda, any further items can be mailed to
secretary at humbug.org.au:

>From Elsie:
- Humbug Social Calendar - are we doing anything than meetings this
year? (eg, Intrepid release party, christmas party, installfest, sfd)
- Other OS groups in Brisbane - should we be inviting other groups to
humbug meetings for talks etc? Eg, RedHat, Brisbane PHP, Brisbane Ruby
and Rails Brigade, MySQL?
- Talks liason - do we have one yet?
- Librarian - position doesn't seem to have much to do, how can we fix
this to make it more relavent to the membership? Eg, get a safari
bookshelf membership for members, have regular presentations about up
and coming tech news/events, take on talks liason role
- Membership drive - who is doing it this year, how much will it cost?
- Bank stuff - sort out signatories, then look into possibility of
moving the bulk of humbug's money into a savings account if possible.

- Packup Roster
- Confirming non-executive positions for people included on the packup roster
- Other non-executive positions

>From Matt:
- Increasing library resources, including up-to-date installers of
various distros
