[H-ANNOUNCE] ZFS presentation by James McPherson

I'm very happy to announce that at our next meeting (12/07/2008) James
McPerson will be giving a presentation on ZFS.

James will discuss the concepts and ideas behind Sun's
ZFS filesystem (and a bit about OpenSolaris). He will
also demonstrate how ZFS is integrated with some of the
other cool features in OpenSolaris such as the in-kernel
CIFS server and NFSv4.

James has worked for Sun Microsystems since late 1999
and is currently a Senior Kernel Engineer in the Software
division, working on storage drivers for Serial Attached
SCSI (SAS), multipathing and command-line management utilities.

The presentation will start at 5pm. Please feel free to pass this
