TEST / SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Leica Geosystems, an industry leader in capturing, analysing and
presenting spatial information for close to 200 years, is expanding
into the Agriculture sector. With a new range of exciting products in
the pipeline, Leica is seeking a Test / Software Engineer to join their
team.

The main focus for this role will be to ensure and maintain a high
standard of software for Leica Agriculture products. The successful
candidate will develop, implement and maintain testing procedures;
report on quality and identify problems with software modules; produce
technical testing plans and regimes in a structured manner; work
collaboratively with software engineers to resolve product issues;
perform field testing of products as required; use best practice /
methodologies to ensure that the software is delivered to the required
quality; and contribute to the software development process and team
goals / deliverables.

The successful candidate will need to possess the following skills and
experience:

    * A relevant University qualification in Computing, Technology, or a
      related field

    * Previous experience in a testing role in a commercial environment

    * Min. 2 years commercial software development experience using C /
C++ or equivalent, and experience in working in a Linux environment

    * A high level of personal drive & self-motivation

	* Strong problem-solving, time management and prioritisation
skills

    * Strong documentation & communication skills

    * The ability to work to work independently as well as part of a
team
