Description:
A global IT vendor requires a Systems Support Engineer to provide a
resource for immediate response to critical issues via telephone and
onsite support. You will be a Hardware and Unix generalist with strong
knowledge of Sun hardware and software.
You will have a minimum of 3 years experience administering Enterprise
Unix systems. You must have advanced knowledge in a minimum of two
disciplines Hardware, High Availability, Kernel/Operating System,
Databases, RAS/Disaster Recovery, Storage and Networks.
You will also have past experience working in a rotational shift roster
to provide 24x7 support.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide post sales onsite and telephone system support to
customers.
· Assist in ensuring Services provided meet Customer Satisfaction
goals.
· Must be cognizant of and comply with QMS requirements and
participate in audits as necessary.
· Required to provide support to Strategic Partners on service
calls.
· Assist in developing software installation plans for customers.
· Performs installation Services on supported products, patches and
software.
· Assist in conducting onsite technical account reviews.
· Support Service Account Managers on problem incident reviews.
· Provide customer or partner coaching and training.
