 POSITION AND PERSON SPECIFICATION

   1. POSITION DETAILS

   TITLE: System Administrator

   LOCATION: Beenleigh

   REPORTS TO: Group General Manager Information Technology

   OBJECTIVE SUMMARY: To technically support the company's information
   systems.

   2. PERSON SPECIFICATION

    (the competencies, skills, qualifications and attributes which should
    be sought when filling this position)

     ESSENTIAL

     * A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent.

     * Experience administering Sun Solaris and Linux operating systems.

     * Demonstrates programming skills with shell scripting languages.

     * Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of TCP/IP networking.

     * Ability to follow instructions well.

     * Ability to travel to sites and possession of a current driver's
       licence.

     PREFERRED

     * Experience in a corporate Unix environment.

     * Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated
       capacity to explain simple procedures in writing or verbally.

     * Motivation to advance within the Company and the profession.

   3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

   (the role, specific functions and accountabilities which are required
   to be undertaken by the occupant)

     * Maintenance of SPARC and X86 servers located around the country, so
       that they remain available on a 24/7 basis.

     * Make recommendations to senior management on improvements/enhancements
       to IT systems.

     * Provide guidance to junior IT roles.

     * Understand and keep abreast of changes to technology and recommend
       where appropriate modifications to IT systems.

     * Technical project work.

     * Other duties as directed by the IT management.

   4. KEY RESULT AREAS AND KPIs

   (performance areas which directly impact on profitability and the
   basis of quantifiable indicators by which they can be assessed)

     * Systems availability.

     * Problem solving abilities.

     * Completion of projects within scheduled period.
