HUMBUG, the Home UNIX Machine Brisbane Users Group, holds talks and group
discussions on various topics of interest to club members during club
meetings.
Events that are of general interest are held in the main meeting room,
while more-specialised material is presented and discussed in a separate
room.
Details of the upcoming talk are as follows.
TITLE: LCA 2003 Debrief Session (+ Pizza!)
PRESENTER: Eric Faccer, plus conference attendees
ABSTRACT: This year's LCA Conference in Perth, by all accounts, was
a great success. Many of us however were unable to attend
so we've organised some attendees to deliver a detailed
rundown of the many interesting talks and goings-on that
happened at the conference, for those who weren't lucky
enough to attend.
Eric Faccer was our nominated Sun Regional Delegate to the
conference. He'll also talk about his impressions of the
conference, and time permitting, he may cover some of his
own Open Source activities.
The format will be fairly free-form, with attendees taking
turns giving highlights of the conference activities.
7.00 - 7.20 Eric Faccer's talk
7.20 - 7.30 (questions)
7.30 - ?.?? LCA Debrief
Pizza will be served at about 8.00pm
We're also organising a pizza order during the debriefing.
We'll organise the pizza order before we start and organise
to have the pizza delivered at about 8pm. If you would like
to order pizza, please bring money and change for your order.
We'll have a choice of either the Pizza Caffe (highly
recommended) or some of the other pizza places. We'll
decide what pizza to get on the day.
TARGET Everybody.
AUDIENCE:
DATE: Saturday, 15th February, 2003.
TIME: 7.00pm.
LOCATION: Room 50-2, to be confirmed on the day.
