Dear student society representatives

Further to my earlier email, I'm writing to announce the first meeting of the ITEE Student Societies Council. It will be held at noon on Wednesday, 19th October, in 78-421. There is no formal agenda for this meeting. I'm hoping that, for me, it will be a chance to get to know the student volunteers in ITEE and to find out what the societies are up to and, for you, a chance to discuss how the School might be able to assist with your events. Maybe we can also start to plan for next year.

The meeting will be catered. If you have not already done so, please let me know your society's representative to the Council and whether they can attend (so that we have numbers for catering).

Cheers
- Vaughan

The society you represent has been identified by the School as one which may be aligned with the interests of the School. The Council is being set up as a forum in which the School can communicate with aligned student societies. The aim is to identify opportunities where the School can support societies to conduct student activities. The support that could be offered would be in some cases financial and in others logistical.

I encourage you to nominate an ITEE student on your executive committee to be your representative on the Council. I plan to call the first meeting in the next few weeks.
