This makes things difficult.

We have plans (if you have been watching emails from Matt and Charles on
the lists you will have the idea), but realistically the timetable was 2
to 3 weeks before we were organised enough to approach ITEE, not 5 days.
In that time I was planning to draft our pitch to the students, give it
at the next Humbug meeting to get ideas and get buy in from the club,
secure an agreement from LCA ...

I am not even sure this BBQ is the right venue.  Being there didn't work
before, we will be competing for the attention of the students with ACS
and EA, and I am not sure that chatting to them while they are busily
munching on unlimited $2 snags is the right way to get past their 2
second attention span.

Still, being there, and being seen by ITEE to be making an effort is
almost certainly the right thing to do.  I am happy to turn up for the 2
hours.  But we need to bring something, or do something, and my printer
at home is dead.  Any ideas?  Anyone?  If someone comes up with even an
idea that sounds even vaguely plausible I will send an email to OCA
tonight asking if we can join in.

On a related note I had some success with John Williams last night.  He
is a UQ lecturer and I managed to speak with him last him.  He seemed
enthusiastic and committed to personally giving the proposed competition
a plug in his lectures.
