Firstly - Mark, could you send us an invoice for the domain renewal.
Just an email will do.
This mess was caused at least partially by me.
I noticed that renewal notices were being dropped to some humbug alias
that I was unfamiliar with, possibly dead and certainly not a current
member, and so re-directed all contact details for ''humbug.org.au'' to
treasurer-ausregistry at humbug.org.au. Not being quite sure who that
should be, I redirected treasurer-ausregistry at humbug.org.au to
exec at humbug.org.au until I found the time to put more thought into it.
Mailman didn't forward messages sent to
treasurer-ausregistry at humbug.org.au to the exec list - it simply dropped
them. Turns out it drops any messages sent to a list that don't have
the list address explicitly in either a To: or Cc: field. Thus we
didn't receive the renewal notices.
I have now told Enetica to send messages to exec at humbug.org.au for now,
which works around the problem. I should test that it actually works,
but haven't figured out how to prod Enetica.com.au (our DNS registrar)
into sending us a test email. Humbug.org.au's technical contact is now
sasig at lists.humbug.org.au.
While I was there, I changed the physical contact address to Humbug's PO
Box. Unfortunately it insists on having a contact phone number, so I
entered my mobile number. I have updated http://www.humbug.org.au/Exec
to say this should be changed when a new Exec comes in.
Hopefully this set of changes is a fairly permanent fix, at least until
something dramatic changes. If someone can think of a better way of
handling this, please reply.

Hi all,
Our humbug.org.au domain expired some time very recently. I
noticed it this evening. I rang Mark Suter as he is still the
technical contact and he renewed the domain immediately with his
credit card.
Humbug owes Mark $39 at some point. And we need to do something
to make sure that we remember to renew it on 30 June 2012, which
is when it will next need to be renewed.
The DNS is all back to normal now.
Cheers, Greg
