You sent your report for the previous meeting via email. That is the
normal practice, and is how all other reports were submitted for this
meeting. Was there a problem doing that this time? You could have
created the minutes page yourself. You didn't. You could have
contacted someone about the minutes page not being up prior to the
report being due. You didn't. The conversation you refer to only
happened after I rang you and that was after the meeting was due to
start.

I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I just pointed out your email
wasn't received prior to the meeting, and that was because it wasn't
sent by your email client until 9 hours after the meeting had finished -
roughly when you got home from the regular meeting in fact. Thus we
could not act on it.

Apologies must be given before the meeting. They can not be given
after. Nonetheless I rang you. Had you expressed the level of concern
you are showing here during the phone call the meeting would have been
delayed, but you didn't.
As you say, Matt attended the training session too, and like you was
late. Evidently he expected he might be delayed and organised his
affairs accordingly as he not only had sent in his apologies, he
organised a proxy so the meeting could proceed. Life can't always be so
predictable of course, and when Matt's father was taken ill on Friday
night he didn't have the time to submit his report. We all have to make
allowances for things like this. Did something equally unpredictable
happen to you?

This was discussed. We read it differently to you. I admit we (or at
least I) didn't put much thought into it, as there were no agenda items
posted before the meeting so the only thing that happened was the
tabling and acceptance of the reports submitted.
